Tutoring & Academic Support

At Truman Middle College High School, we believe every scholar deserves the opportunity, encouragement, and support they need to succeed.

Whether you need help understanding a lesson, working through an assignment, strengthening your English, or preparing for an upcoming test, you don't have to figure it out alone. Our

Your Success Matters. We’re Here to Help You Get There

Tutoring Support During Class

TMCHS offers tutoring and academic support during class sessions, giving scholars the opportunity to receive additional help while they are learning.

Tutoring support is available in English, Math, Science, and other academic subjects. Scholars can ask questions, review challenging concepts, work through assignments, and receive additional guidance when they need it.

Our goal is to make support accessible and help every scholar continue making progress in the classroom.

We Can Help You With:

  • Understanding lessons and challenging concepts
  • Homework and class assignments
  • Reading, writing, and math skills
  • Test and quiz preparation
  • Study skills and organization
  • Catching up and staying on track
  • Academic vocabulary and English-language development

Support for English Learners & ESL Scholars

Learning English while completing high school coursework can bring additional challenges, and we want our English Learners and ESL scholars to know that they are supported at TMCHS.

Tutoring can provide extra help with English reading, writing, vocabulary, communication, and academic language, as well as support in Math, Science, and other classes.

It’s okay to ask questions. It’s okay to ask for something to be explained again. Learning takes time, practice, and support.

We want every scholar to feel comfortable participating, asking questions, and building confidence in the classroom.

Need More Support After Class?

Sometimes you may need more time than a regular class session allows. That’s okay, we’re still here to help.

If you need additional tutoring or academic support after class, please schedule an appointment with Ms. Khim or Ms. Saliu. An appointment gives us dedicated time to better understand what you need help with and provide additional support.

Ms. Saliu

If something isn’t making sense, reach out. Asking for help is part of learning, and taking that extra step can make a difference.

Keep learning. Keep asking questions. Keep moving forward. Your TMCHS team is here to support you.
