At Truman Middle College High School (TMCHS), success is defined not only by graduation, but by what comes next. We prepare students for meaningful futures in college, careers, and workforce pathways.
TMCHS consistently leads YCCS and CPS dropout recovery programs in post-secondary outcomes, including college enrollment, career training, and employment readiness.

At TMCHS, student success is guided by the Chicago Public Schools School Quality Rating Policy (SQRP). This framework helps us track progress, measure growth, and ensure students are on a path toward graduation and future success.
We focus on key performance indicators that reflect both academic achievement and student growth.

We measure how much students improve over time, not just where they start.

Ensuring students earn the credits they need to stay on track for graduation.

Monitoring each student’s advancement to ensure timely completion of high school requirements.
We build test preparation into everyday learning, so students feel confident and ready for what’s next. From STAR assessments to the SAT, ACT, and college placement exams, we help students develop the skills they need to succeed in school and beyond.
Through consistent practice and targeted instruction, students build the confidence and skills needed to perform well on these assessments and take the next steps toward college or career pathways.
